A little over four weeks after launching, Holy Moly has baked up over 2,000 'belter bagels', earned an army of social media followers and is seemingly the talk of Glasgow's food scene.

What began as baking bagels for friends and family to pass the time became a bagel business bringing wonderful, freshly baked rings of joy to the people of Glasgow. Holy Moly, based in Glasgow’s Southside, has baked over 2,000 ‘belter bagels’ and is currently sold out for the next three weeks!

Thankfully, I found out that nearby the brilliant Toro Coffee (check them out if you haven't) were stocking them. By the time I'd arrived mid-morning, they'd almost sold out, leaving just the 'everything' bagels (what I'd been hoping for), topped with sesame seeds, sea salt, a bit of caramelised onion, and yes ... the hype is justified.

Glasgow's Holy Moly Bagels has taken Instagram by storm

Those doughy dreams are made a reality thanks to Holy Moly Bagels, launched in February this year by ex-chef of 12 years Matthew Harris who is on a mission to show the city what a proper, quality bagel tastes like.
